TaquaWorks to replace legacy 5E switch

TaquaWorks to replace legacy 5E switch

May 16, 2016

A service provider in the US state of Nevada, CC Communications, is replacing its legacy 5E central office switch with the TaquaWorks solution, in order to provide advanced converged services across its FTTH-based IPTV and wireless networks.

CC Communications has been serving residents and businesses with quadruple-play services – local and long distance telephone, wireless, Internet access and digital television – since 1889.

TaquaWorks is a tightly integrated combination of the Taqua 7000 (T7000) end-office switching system and BroadSoft’s BroadWorks suite of advanced Hosted Unified Communications, Mobile PBX and Residential Broadband applications.

With the TaquaWorks solution, CC Communications can immediately generate new revenues with enhanced services and significantly save on operations costs by replacing its legacy 5E Class 5 switch.

After serving its community for more than 100 years, CC Communications needed to select the best possible parter and conducted an extensive evaluation of competing solutions.

The selection of Taqua’s switch replacement, and the addition of BroadWorks calling features, will make CC Communications one of the most progressive service providers in the western states of the US.
